About Dr. Nic

Dr. Nicole Wildermuth

Hi! My name is Dr. Nicole Wildermuth. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Strength and Conditioning Coach with extensive experience in rehabilitation and sports performance. I have additional certifications as a StrongFirst Barbell Instructor and in Trigger Point Dry Needling. I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University and Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy from San Diego State University.

I view strength training, sports performance, and rehabilitation as one entity and integrates principles of each into my approach to guide individuals towards achieving their goals.  My goal is to empower others to become adaptable, durable, and active in their personal health management. I have worked with a variety of patient populations including acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, post-operation, and return to sport. Clinically, I have a special interest in optimizing performance for runners, youth athletes, and the hybrid athlete.

I spent the beginning of her career serving as the lead physical therapist at a sports performance clinic in Boulder, CO. Here I helped elite endurance athletes stay injury-free and reach new levels of their performance. With there desire to strength the community of Golden, Colorado, I was inspired to open Wild PTP with the mission to provide quality, personalized physical therapy that fosters connection, restores movement, and empowers individuals to live healthier, more engaged lives.

Outside of the clinic, I stay connected with the athletic community by competing in trail running and Hyrox races. I have found a love for crewing and pacing other athletes. I also make a mean loaf of gluten free sourdough bread.
