Physical Therapy

Dr. Nicole Wildermuth PT, DPT, CSCS provides personalized, evidence-based physical therapy for runners, athletes, and active individuals looking to recover from injury and perform at their highest level. Whether you’re facing a new injury, managing a lingering issue, or recovering from surgery, I create individualized treatment plans focused on reducing pain, restoring movement, and rebuilding strength so you can return to the activities you love.

I believe education is a key part of the treatment process, empowering you with the knowledge and tools to better understand your body, actively participate in your recovery, and achieve lasting results. My approach combines the latest research in rehabilitation, hands-on care, movement analysis, and performance training to help you build confidence, resilience, and the strength needed to stay active for the long term.

How It Works:

  1. Book a Complimentary 30 minute phone call with Dr. Nic. (optional)

Before we even meet in person, I’d love the opportunity to chat with you on the phone to better learn about your situation, your injury, and your experience.

  2. Initial Injury Evaluation (in-person or virtually).

A comprehensive assessment to identify the root cause of your symptoms. You’ll leave with clear insights and practical strategies you can immediately apply to start reducing discomfort and improving movement.

  3. Customize your Plan of Care.

Following your evaluation, I design a personalized, goal-driven plan tailored to you. Together, we build a clear, progressive roadmap to help you return to the activities you love—pain-free and performing at your best.

Strength + Conditioning

I provide personalized strength and conditioning programs for competitive athletes, runners, HYROX athletes, and active individuals looking to improve performance, build strength, and train with purpose. Each program is designed around your goals, movement needs, and training demands to improve strength, power, endurance, mobility, and overall athletic performance.

My approach combines evidence-based training principles, movement assessment, and performance coaching to help you develop resilient movement patterns, reduce injury risk, and achieve lasting results. Whether you are preparing for a HYROX competition, endurance event, returning from injury, or looking to become stronger and more capable, I create individualized strength and conditioning programs to help you perform at your best.

How It Works:

  1. Assessment

Every program begins with a comprehensive evaluation. I look at how you move, your training history, current capacity, and your goals.

  2. Build Your Plan

Based on your assessment, I design a personalized strength and conditioning program tailored to you. This isn’t a template—it’s built around your sport, your lifestyle, and what your body actually needs to perform.

  3. Progress & Adapt

As you improve, your program evolves. I continuously adjust your training based on your goals to keep you progressing without overtraining or injury.

Shockwave

A non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing, reduce pain, and improve tissue function. Ideal for chronic conditions, shockwave helps accelerate recovery and get you back to moving and performing at your best. Common diagnoses treated with shockwave therapy include plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis or golfer’s elbow, rotator cuff tendinopathy, and other stubborn soft-tissue injuries. Shockwave therapy is a safe, evidence-based option for people looking to avoid surgery or long-term medication use while addressing the root cause of their pain.

How It Works:

  1. Choose between a 3 or 6 session package. Each session is 30 minutes.

  2. Book each session 1 week apart.

  3. I will assist you in a rehab plan to complement the shockwave sessions.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a targeted treatment designed to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and restore movement. I target muscular trigger points by using thin needles to release tight or overactive muscles. This technique helps improve blood flow, decrease sensitivity, and accelerate recovery. Whether you’re dealing with persistent tightness, injury-related pain, or movement limitations, dry needling can be a powerful tool to help you move more freely and get back to doing what you love.

Events

Physical therapy event offerings are designed to support, educate, and connect the community. From race day crewing and pacing to on-site services, I’m there to help athletes perform at their best when it matters most. I also host educational seminars and workshops focused on injury prevention, strength training, and performance-giving you the tools to move better and stay healthy long-term. I serve as the Sports Therapy Manager for Cocodona 250 and I am an affiliate faculty professor in the DPT program at Regis University. Whether you’re competing, learning, or just looking to be part of a like-minded community, Wild PTP events bring high-quality care beyond the clinic and into the spaces where you train and compete.
